Good morning everyone!

Today, I am going to talk about a mystery…

A mystery so big, so confusing, so powerful…, which happened daily to me.

Even Sherlock Holmes will give up.

It is the “The Lost Sock — Every Morning Before the School Bus Arrives.”

Every morning, I wake up, get dressed, pack my bag, And then suddenly I realise — one sock is here. Where is my other sock?

This happens every single day.

Now The search operation begins and 

I will start to hunt the whole house- cupboard, under the bed, sofa, balcony

I will Look under the bed.

Find nothing… except dust and one pencil from last year.

If I ask my mom- Amma did you see my socks. She replies without even turning her head- check properly!!!

I open the cupboard in a hurry…

and immediately ALL my clothes fall on my head like a mini clothes waterfall!

Ufffff!

I quickly grab everything and dump it back inside the cupboard…

not neatly…

just stuff stuff, stuff, shut the door, and run!

But still…

no sock!

I will check behind the sofa and Find toys, hair clips, coins, and a remote control we lost 6 months ago.

Still no sock.

My brother enjoys watching me search the whole house like a detective.

I always suspect that he is the reason behind my missing sock.

It is white sock that is missing. It is supposed to be white. But the white sock is not always white. It is a dark dirty whitish sock. 

Finally I found it hiding behind the bedroom door. I have no idea how it went there. Since I found the sock pair, I will get a feeling like I won the best award ever. 

Now my school bus honks outside.

I wear the sock, put in my shoes and jump and rush to the school bus. 

So what did I learn?

In life — like socks —

sometimes things disappear,

and sometimes things take time,

but if we keep searching, keep trying…

We will always find what we’re looking for.

So yes, every morning I start my day with an adventure —

the Mission to Find the Lost Sock Before the School Bus Arrives!

And trust me…

This mission teaches me patience, creativity, perseverance…

And also how to run very fast when the bus is honking.
