Title: You Can Do Amazing Things!

Time: 3 - 4 Minutes

---------------

Good morning everyone,

My name is selva mithran and I’m so happy to be standing here today to talk to you about something really exciting — how each of us can do amazing things!

Have you ever looked at someone and thought, “Wow, they’re so smart!” or “They’re so good at sports!” or “I could never do that”? I think we’ve all felt that way at some point.

But the truth is — you don’t have to be perfect to be amazing. You just have to try your best and never stop believing in yourself.

Think about the first time you rode a bicycle. At first, it probably felt scary. You might have fallen. But you got back up and tried again. And now, you probably zoom around like a pro! That’s because you were *tenacious*, you believed you could do it, and you didn’t give up.

The same thing goes for school, making new friends, learning something hard, or even doing something kind for someone else. Every small step matters, and every time you try, you’re growing into someone stronger and smarter. You are building a "sturdy"

foundation for your future.

Even the most famous people in the world — like scientists, athletes, artists, and even superheroes in movies — they all started small. They all made mistakes. But they kept going.

And guess what? You can do the same!

Title: My thoughts about the revolt of 1857

Time: 3 - 5 Minutes

---------------

Have you ever seen someone get so tired of being treated unfairly that they finally say, “Enough is enough!”? That’s exactly what happened in India a long time ago, and it led to something big called the Revolt of 1857—India’s first major fight for freedom. Let me tell you the story in simple words. In the 1800s, India was ruled not by kings or queens—but by a business! It was called the East India Company, a company from Britain. They were more interested in making money than in helping people. The British took over Indian kingdoms, made unfair laws, and forced farmers to grow crops like cotton instead of food. People were unhappy. Even Indian soldiers, called sepoys, were treated unfairly. They were paid less, shown less respect, and had almost no say in anything. r The final straw was something small but important: a new kind of bullet. To use it, soldiers had to bite open a cartridge. But rumours spread that the cartridges were greased with cow and pig fat, which was deeply offensive to both Hindus and Muslims. Indian soldiers refused to use them. When they were punished, people across India stood up with them. It wasn’t just about bullets anymore—it was about respect, freedom, and justice. Soon, the anger spread. Ordinary people, farmers, kings, and soldiers began fighting back. The revolt began in Meerut in 1857 and quickly spread to many cities like Delhi, Kanpur, and Lucknow. People attacked British buildings, freed prisoners, and tried to take back control of their land. At first, the Indians had some success. But the British had more weapons and soldiers. After about a year, the revolt was defeated. Even though the revolt failed, it changed everything. The East India Company was shut down, and the British government took direct control of India. The Indian army was reorganized to prevent another revolt. Sadly, racism and control increased, and Indians lost even more power in their land. But something powerful had begun—the idea that India must be free. The revolt planted the seeds of nationalism and courage that would grow stronger over time. The Revolt of 1857 was not just a rebellion—it was the first thunderous cry of a nation yearning to break its chains. It proved that Indians would no longer endure injustice in silence. Though it did not achieve immediate success, it lit the flame of resistance that burned brighter with every generation. As Subhas Chandra Bose once declared: “Freedom is not given, it is taken.” The heroes of 1857 may not have won freedom then, but they lit the torch that others carried forward—until it finally illuminated an independent India in 1947. Their courage was not the end but the beginning Let us always remember the brave hearts of 1857 who rose against injustice and lit the first spark of India’s freedom. On this day, we salute their courage and honour their sacrifice with pride and respect. Thank you for this opportunity, and over to the Emcee to carry this meeting forward!

Title: All about me

Time: 3 - 4 Minutes

---------------

If I had my way, I’d probably be giving this speech from inside a rocket — far away from this stage, somewhere in orbit where the only audience is a satellite.

Because honestly, standing here is scarier to me than being launched into space with zero training… and a broken shuttle.

Hi, I’m Tapesh. I was born in Chennai, and I currently live in Hyderabad

Ever since I saw the stars twinkling in the night sky, I knew I didn’t want to just look at them — I wanted to understand what’s out there.

Planets, galaxies, black holes — I want to study them all.

Not physically visit them, of course

Yes, I want to be a space scientist.

Now, I know what you might be thinking:

“Wow, a space scientist? That must take a lot of confidence!”

And you’d be right. I do have confidence… in science.

But when it comes to speaking in front of actual human beings?

That’s a whole other galaxy of anxiety.

Right now, my heart is racing faster than a rocket launch.

I’ve practiced this speech over and over — in the mirror, to my pillow, and even to the wall in my room.

But here’s what I realized:

If I truly want to work with ISRO or NASA someday, I can’t just hide behind a telescope or a whiteboard.

Scientists don’t just discover cool things — they explain them, present them, and sometimes even defend them in rooms full of reporters and researchers.

That means I need to speak — clearly, confidently, and without sounding like I just stepped out of a satellite

That’s exactly why I joined Toastmasters — to learn, to grow, and to push myself out of my comfort zone.

Or at least gently scoot myself out of it… one speech at a time.

Now, when I’m not thinking about the mysteries of the universe, I keep myself grounded with two things I like: football and guitar.

Football is where I run around pretending I’m Messi... but usually end up passing to the wrong team.

Then there’s the guitar — that’s my escape. When I play, it feels like time slows down.

These two hobbies help me balance out the stress of school and science.

They remind me that the path to the stars isn’t always smooth — there are crash landings, communication failures, and wrong turns.

But every mistake is just another step in orbit.

So to sum it all up:

I’m just a student with a head full of dreams, a heart set on space, and absolutely no backup plan.

Sure, I’m nervous now — my legs are shaking like they just survived zero gravity — but I showed up.

And one day, just maybe, I’ll be able to say:

“That’s it from me — I’m Tapesh, and thanks for listening!"

Title: My Journey

Time: 3 - 4 Minutes

---------------

"Hello everyone! My name is Agathian, and I'm super excited to be here today. I'm 8 years old, and I'm currently in Grade 4. When I'm not in school, I love building rockets - I've already made around 13 to 15 rockets, and I'm working on more! I'm also really passionate about playing sports like football and cricket. I'm an avid reader, and my favorite books are about Pokémon. I enjoy watching the Pokémon cartoon, and I'm always up for a new adventure.

I have a wonderful family that supports me in everything I do. My parents are always there for me, guiding me and encouraging me to pursue my passions. I have a kind sister who I always fight with, but when we play together, we always have fun, along with arguments.

I'm really lucky to have two amazing best friends, Hari and Renith. We always have a blast together, whether we're playing games or just hanging out. One of my favorite memories is visiting Yercaud with my family. The breathtaking landscapes were so much fun to explore, and we had an amazing time together. I love trying new foods and playing games with my family and friends.

Speaking of food, I'm a big fan of Dairy Milk chocolate, brownies, and KitKat bars - they're my go-to treats! When it comes to cars, I'm absolutely fascinated by Lamborghinis - they're so cool and sleek!

One thing that's really important to me is my dream of becoming a rocket scientist and space explorer one day. I believe that with hard work and determination, I can achieve my goals. I'm looking forward to learning new things and exploring the world around me. Thank you!"

The Art of Impromptu Speaking

Educational Session

Meeting #7 - Zero-6 Dance and Fitness Company, Medavakkam.

Sunday | 07.30 AM - 09.30 AM | 13th July 2025

Title - The Art of Speaking

Presented By

TM Melitta Singarayan

How many of you know what a Noun means?

A Noun means Person, Place, Thing, Animal.

What is an Adjective?

An Adjective describes a Noun.

Nouns and Adjectives make perfect sentences.

When you are asked to Introduce yourself, try to use to 4 different part of the noun?

In addition to including Nouns, ask the questions, Who, Which, How Where, What?

Who are you?

Who are your parents?

Who are your siblings?

Which school do you study?

How old are you?

Where do you stay?

What are the things you like to eat?

What is your favourite pet animal?

What are the places you enjoyed visiting?

What is your hobby?

You can easily derive 10 sentences using Nouns and Questions.

Even when you are asked a topic, talk about your favourite chocolate, if you ask the right Questions to yourself as you speak, deriving 10 sentences comes magically.

Which is your favourite chocolate?

Why do you like the chocolate?

Who buys it for you?

Does your chocolate have flavour?

Which flavour is your favourite?

How many?

Do you share your chocolate?

What does your friend / sibling like?

Which shop do buy the chocolate?

What chocolates did you buy for your birthday?

Impromptu speaking is not about having the perfect words, it's about having the courage to ask, wonder, and share what’s in your heart.”

When you answers these questions in your speech, you brain might come up with an event.

The day when your grandfather came home and brought a box of your favourite chocolate. Speak out the story.

That story which you jus narrated will stay in the audience mind. It will also bring in a smile in your face.

Smile as you speak. When you smile, the audience smile back at you. Remember Good Day biscuits smile ad where Deepika Padukone makes everyone smile.

By answering the magic questions and bringing in a story, your impromptu speech is the best which you and the audience will cherish.

“Your voice is a gift. Don’t hide it, share it!”

Tips for Writing a Great Speech Script  - Educational Session - Online

17-08-2025, 07:30 AM - 8.45 AM

                Mrs. Archana

Title -  Tips for Writing a Great Speech Script (Made Easy for Kids & Teens)

The very first rule of writing a great speech is simple:

WRITE IT YOURSELF.

Yes, you heard that right. Your script… your speech. Don’t just copy something from Google or ask an elder to write it for you. First, draft your own version. Once it’s ready, you can always show it to a teacher, parent, or mentor to refine it.

Now that we agree on this GOLDEN RULE, let’s look at SEVEN KEY TIPS that will make your speech stand out.

1. Start Strong (The Opening)

Your opening line is like a hook—it must grab attention instantly. Most children begin with the same lines, “Good morning respected teachers, guests, and my dear friends.” While that’s safe, it’s also predictable. Why not try something fresh?

Here are some creative greeting styles to begin your speech:

With Energy:

“A sparkling morning to everyone gathered here today!”

“Good morning to all the bright faces and brilliant minds in this room!”

With Humor:

“Good morning to all the dignitaries on stage, the teachers off stage, and the students—half on their phones and half listening to me.”

“If you’re smiling, thank you. If you’re not, don’t worry—you’ll smile by the end of my speech.”

With Curiosity:

“Good morning everyone! Quick question—how many of you had breakfast today? Raise your hands!”

“Have you ever wondered what makes today special? By the end of my speech, you’ll know.”

With Respect & Warmth:

“Respected teachers, honorable guests, and my dear friends—a very pleasant morning to all of you.”

With Imagination:

“If words were stars, I hope my speech will shine a little light on you today.”

“If this hall were a cricket stadium, thank you for letting me bat first!”

After your greeting, follow it up with a strong hook:

A question: “Have you ever wondered what life would be like without the internet?”

A surprising fact: “Do you know your brain works faster than a computer?”

A short story: “Last week, when my WiFi stopped, my family actually talked to each other… and it was scary!”

Imagine your first line as a magnet that pulls everyone into your speech.

2. Make It Personal

Don’t be afraid to bring your life into your speech. People connect best with real experiences, no matter how small.

“When I first joined school, I was so shy that even my shadow avoided me.”

“I learned teamwork not in class, but when my cricket team lost badly.”

Audiences love stories more than lectures.

3. Keep It Simple and Clear

The best speeches are easy to follow. You don’t need complicated vocabulary.

Instead of: “The significance of perseverance is evident in our daily undertakings.”

Say: “Never give up—even a video game is fun only if you keep playing after you lose.”

Write like you talk to a friend.

4. Add Humor or Wit

A touch of humor makes a speech more engaging.

“My teacher said I talk too much, so I joined public speaking. Now it’s called talent.”

Keep it friendly and light. Avoid jokes that might hurt someone.

5. Use Three Main Points

Here’s a speaking trick: audiences remember best when you share three points.

Example (Speech on Success):

1. Work hard.

2. Stay positive.

3. Learn from failure.

Three is the magic number—easy for you to remember, and easy for them to recall.

6. Add a Little Drama

A speech is not just words—it’s a performance. Add stage directions to your script:

(pause)

(smile)

(look at the audience)

These small actions bring your words to life.

7. Close Powerfully (The Ending)

Your last line should echo in people’s minds even after you leave the stage.

Circle back: “I began by asking you about life without the internet. Now you know—it wouldn’t just be harder, it would also be emptier. So, let’s use it wisely.”

Call to action: “Tomorrow, take one small step toward your dream—you’ll already be winning.”

Quote: “As Abdul Kalam said, ‘Dream, dream, dream. Dreams transform into thoughts, and thoughts result in action.’ Let’s keep dreaming, and let’s keep acting.”

Gratitude: “Thank you for lending me not just your ears, but your hearts.”

Humor: “If you liked my speech, my name is [Your Name]. If you didn’t—well, I’ll do better next time.”

Inspiration: “Every master was once a beginner. And today, we are all beginners on our journey to greatness.”

End with a smile, pause for a moment, and let your words sink in. That silence makes your closing powerful.

Final Note

Writing a speech is like telling a story. The more personal, clear, and lively it is, the better people will listen. Remember:

Your script, your speech.

Be yourself.

And most importantly, enjoy the moment on stage.

Happy writing, and best wishes for your next big speech!

shepherd boy whose days were spent watching over his village's

flock of sheep. The boy, a mischievous sort, found his job dull and

sought amusement in pranks. He'd often cry out, "Wolf! Wolf! The

wolf is coming!" and watch as the villagers, believing his shouts,

scrambled up the hill to help, only to find no wolf at all. He'd laugh

at their frustration, enjoying the chaos he created.

The villagers, understandably angered, scolded him for his

deceptions. But the boy, seemingly unfazed, would soon resort to

his old ways.

One day, as the boy was tending his flock, a real wolf emerged from

the forest, its eyes glinting with hunger. Terrified, the boy cried out,

"Wolf! Wolf! The wolf is carrying away a lamb!"

But this time, the villagers, weary of his previous tricks, simply

ignored his cries. They assumed he was just playing another prank.

No one came to help, and the wolf, unhindered, scattered the flock,

carrying away several sheep.

The boy was left alone, frightened, and with a stark realization: his

lies had cost him dearly. He had learned a difficult lesson about the

importance of being honest and trustworthy.

The moral of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" is that lying destroys trust,

and those who frequently deceive will not be believed, even when

they speak the truth

i hope that everyone will remember this story for your entire life

Storytelling (using the Word of the Day list)

Role Players: Saanvi and Saishri

---------------------

The Great Freedom Sports Day

Saanvi: (running in, waving hands) Saishri! You won’t believe the most bizarre (strange and funny) thing that happened at our Independence Day Sports Day!

Saishri: (leaning forward) Oh wow! Tell me everything. And please articulate (say clearly) every detail so I can imagine it.

Saanvi: Well, just as we were about to kick off (start) the flag hoisting, a runner came wearing a long scarf, trying to disguise (hide their identity) as a freedom fighter from a movie!

Saishri: (laughs) That sounds like an exaggeration (making it sound bigger than it is).

Saanvi: No! I can substantiate (prove) it with a photo. And by the way, their march-past was impeccable (perfect) — not a single step out of line.

Saishri: Okay, but the 100-meter race was so grueling (very tiring). I felt like I’d run across the whole country! My endurance (ability to keep going) was really tested.

Saanvi: True! And the free tricolor cupcakes afterwards were a bit gratuitous (more than needed) — but yummy.

Saishri: Then came the tug-of-war. Two teams showed hostility (not being friendly) because both thought they had won.

Saanvi: I decided to juxtapose (put side by side) their flag markers to prove they were the same.

Saishri: That was a lofty (noble and fair) idea. Sportsmanship matters more than winning. We should never humiliate (make someone feel ashamed) the losing team.

Saanvi: Yes! Then, during the march-past, the patriotic music gave me a nostalgic (happy memory) feeling about last year’s celebration.

Saishri: And our sports announcer was so obliging (helpful) — he even helped a junior carry her shoes to the track.

Saanvi: But the highlight was the “Freedom Relay Race.” The final clue was mystifying (puzzling).

Saishri: So we became persuasive (convincing) and asked the organisers for a hint.

Saanvi: They gave a resolute (firm) nod and told us to check near the flagpole.

Saishri: And there we found a quotable (worth remembering) message: “In sports and in life — unity is our strength.”

Saanvi: After that, we wandered yonder (far away) to cheer for the sack race.

Saishri: And saw a versatile (can be used in many ways) prize — a cricket set that turned into a badminton set!

Saanvi: This year’s celebration was totally unprecedented (never happened before).

Saishri: And it ended in the most zany (silly) way — I tripped during the lemon-and-spoon race and saluted the flag while lying on the ground! (pretends to fall)

Saanvi: (laughs) And then you started to grumble (complain in a low voice) about the spoon being too small!

Saishri: (grinning) Well, the message is clear — whether it’s Independence Day or Sports Day, teamwork, respect, and unity make everyone a true winner
